Water Strength: In Progress

For this piece I wanted to try to create a narrative scene in a dream-like world and of course have the story be told through symbolisms and color. A waterfall might symbolize feelings of the time to let go of the past or go with the flow in some cases while an oak tree could mean strength or endurance. White is known to represent goodness, purity and innocence; it could represent a successful beginning

The message I was trying tell in this piece is to let go of your past because it could be the cause for holding you down for the rest of your life. One way you could let go is to go out into the world to trying something new or catch up with some friends, so you can find their strength in them and be inspired to find inner strength within yourself.

This week, I focused on the background and the majority of the waterfall. Next week I’ll focus on the tree, the figure and details.
